Belcampo: A Unique, New, Channel-Integrated Business

Belcampo is an interesting new company that owns and manages farms in California, Belize, and Uruguay to produce high-quality food of the highest quality and integrity. Belcampo has devised ways to provide consumers “with the best-tasting food and drink the earth can produce, in a way that provides a clear path from farm to table (and offers a chance for further education in sustainable food and farming).”
The company was started in 2011 by Anya Fernald and Todd Robinson. It is now located in Jack London Square, in the historic hub of Oakland’s old port. California’s Belcampo Meat Company opened in November 2012, Estancia Belcampo cultivates olives, grapes, and cattle, and Belcampo Belize’s Food & Farm Center opened in late 2012.
Check out this video to see how Belcampo has developed its own supply chain — which moves from the farm to the butcher shop to the restaurant table.
