Enhancing Kiosk Security

Retail kiosks have become quite popular with both shoppers and retailers. However, security is an issue.
As reported by Kiosk Marketplace: “Self-service kiosks have revolutionized industries ranging from airline travel to photo processing. Companies can move simple transactions to the kiosk while redeploying costly labor to more complicated customer service tasks. The fact that a kiosk operates largely unsupervised, however, can sometimes be its downfall. Depending on its location, if there is a problem with a kiosk it might be offline for hours or even days before someone in authority notices and takes action. In addition, unattended kiosks could be prone to tampering, especially if they accept payments.”
