New Data on Retail Security Breaches

The impact of the spate of retail security breaches over the last decade keeps getting worse.
eMarketer puts it thusly:
“With the lure of using big data and advanced CRM [customer relationship management] techniques to predict everything a potential customer might want or need before she even knows it, retail executives will have to wrestle with the added dangers of not only appearing creepy — a subjective judgment at best — but of objectively compromising the personal and financial information of their customers.”
