Cabela’s Defines Best Practices in Global Ventures

Cabela’s is the “largest mail-order, retail, and Internet outdoor outfitter in the world.”
Recently, eMarketer conducted an interview with Cabela’s Derek Fortna, who has had a large role in the firm’s success: “In his seven years with outdoor adventure retailer Cabela’s, Derek Fortna has spearheaded various digital marketing programs, including the brand’s entrée into social media, its paid search campaigns, and its global E-commerce strategy. Cabela’s, which has sold internationally since the late 1990s, fine-tuned its global E-commerce approach a few years ago with a new vendor partnership and a global marketing push. Fortna told eMarketer’s Lauren McKay about Cabela’s experience selling internationally, and where the brand plans to pay special attention in the future.”
